Week 5

So Kasey told me my picture was just weird... not cool just weird. Ugh oh well, Stars have been my favorite shape since I can remember and I love anything that sparkles! So here is a picture of my very sparkley star ring!

Week 4

In preparing for a class I'm going to be teaching about photography I want to remind people that knowing how to use your camera no matter what you have is the most important thing about taking pictures! The image below was shot on a 3 year old point and shoot camera. The first image is my sooc image and the second I went in and did a little fun editing :) Enjoy and have an awesome week!

Week 3

I completely forgot to post this yesterday... oops! I was out for a drive last Thursday and couldn't help snap this shot! I really need to stop taking pictures from my car window! There is something breath taking though about this mountain. I looked at this mountain first thing every day growing up, I was lucky to have a view similar to this out my bedroom window. 

Mr & Mrs Smith {California Wedding Photography}

I was so excited when I got the news, my uncle was getting married! My uncle is an amazing guy and has been dating his now wife for around 7 years, they are the sweetest couple and I love them both so much! This was my uncles first wedding, he's just never found the right lady until Lupe came around! They make such an amazing couple, the kind you can tell just be seeing them how much they love each other, and their wedding day was no different, they were ALL smiles!! I was so blessed to share this day with them, not only because he's my uncle and she's now my aunt, but because it truly was such a special day! 

Manda - Portraits

I was so excited to go down and take these pictures of Manda, I was even more excited because I was able to do her hair and makeup before the shoot, which I LOVE to do! She is such a sweet girl and it was so good to meet her! I hope you love your pictures!! 

Week 2

I love this image! I took this while I was on my way out to Levan last weekend and was just out of Nephi. There is something about frost covered trees that I just can't get enough of! 

A project of Sorts

Last year I tried to start a 365 project, it lasted about 4 days. The problem was not so much finding something to take a picture of, but remembering to upload it and blog it. So this year, I am going to try and do a 52 project. Something I can stick to and take a little bit more time on. Every Sunday I'm going to upload a photo from that week., not necessarily the best photo or the sharpest, clearest, most artist, but the one that I like the best or has the most emotion! Also I'm going to try to keep them non-client images. I want these to have more of a 'personal project' feel to them. So to start off here is this image... 

I took this while driving home from work on Thursday. I shot it with my point and shoot through the car window. I was kind of cursing under my breath because I thought I was going to get stuck behind it so when I pulled up to the tracks and realized the train was stopped I couldn't help but grab my camera out of my purse and snap one real fast.
