The Girl Behind the Lens

I'm not very good at writing, I don't write novels about each session even though I have so much to say, its just not my thing. I'm super outgoing yet super shy all at the same time, I LOVE to laugh and act silly but know when I need to have it together. There are so many layers to who I am I could never write them out in a blog post, so instead I just took a few basic questions and answered them. Hopefully this will help you get to know me a little bit better!!!

Yes I have been married for 2 years and we just had our first baby this spring. 

If you weren’t a photographer what would you be

I always wanted to be a therapist or an archeologist 

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A Vet, but on career day the vet I was working with had to put a dog to sleep and that ended that dream! 

What is the best and worst part of your job?

The best part is meeting new people, making new friends and loving what I do, the worst part is figuring out my taxes! 

How would you describe your artistic style?

I love to capture passion and personality. I want my clients to walk away feeling like I really captured who they are!

What got you into photography?

Honestly I don't remember, I've just always loved it, I've had a camera in my hands since I was a kid I started taking classes in 7th grade and haven't stopped taking pictures since!

I use a neck strap even though I like my hand strap better, I’m afraid I’ll drop my camera!

Passion

Sometimes in life we are lucky enough to find our passion, what we want to spend every day of our lives doing, for me that love is photography!

Sadly getting people to realize that I am a photographer and that I want to be a full time wedding photog and that I don't just do this for fun on the side is quite the challenge!!

June Workshop

Last month I hosted my very first workshop. I was SO nervous, but I think it turned out pretty good! I ended up having a few people not be able to make it so we had a group of 4 but it was probably better that way so I could be more focused for my first one! I Learned a lot of things to do and not to do for future workshops and hopefully the girls that came enjoyed it as much as I did! Silly me forgot to take a group shot but here are some of the pictures from the day :) 

Little B is 18 months!

 This little girl has so much personality! I had a blast following her around the park!!
