Annie & Eric

I have known Annie for 13 years! We met in Jr High and have been friends ever since, we've been on road trips, day trips, had fights and she was even my maid of honor so when she and Eric FINALLY got engaged I was so happy for her! Annie and Eric are so sweet to each other and the perfect pair. They have been through so much together and I am so excited that they are finally getting married next month! I had a blast taking these pictures and was so grateful to have Tanya there to help me out {she is a fantastic assistant!} Let me know what you think! 

The Q Family

I love this family! Probably a little more then most clients, but that's because this is my beautiful cousin and her family! These girls are so cute! They both fell asleep on their way to meet us so we had a ruff start but they couldn't hide their smiles for very long! We got the 'formal' family pictures out of the way and then did some way fun lifestyle images! Aren't they so cute??

a melody

I think a lot of photographers would agree that they are moved and inspired by music, I'm no different. I've always loved music of all kinds, there is something about it that makes me feel alive and different music can bring out so many different emotions. I think I'll start posting Music Mondays or something but today I wanted to share this... 

a fancy camera doesn't promise fancy pictures!

The Mr and I recently went on a little trip to my favorite place... Portland OR and of course we had to take a little detour through Benson State park and see the waterfalls!  The first one we stopped at was Horsetail Falls, Its beautiful and of course we wanted a picture in front of it! It wasn't very crowded so we thought it was the perfect chance to snap one of each of us! I adjusted my settings and snapped one of the Mr,

Right after I took the picture a sweet lady from behind offered to snap a photo of us together in exchange that I took one for her and her husband, "of course" I responded, It would save me from having to merge two photos together in PS later on! I bumped my shutter speed up a little just in case and handed her my camera. And FYI everything looks like its in focus when its only 2x2 inches on my screen... This is the image we ended up with...

Sadly having a fancy camera doesn't always mean that you are going to get fancy pictures! 

If you are having an event that you don't get a second shot to retake the pictures, don't leave it to chance and hope you get something great because you're dads new co-worker just bought a camera! {or whatever the story may be to get a deal} Also save your self the cash and DON'T go and spend a $1,000 or more on a "fancy" camera that you'll never take off of auto {the little green button} in reality you're just buying a VERY expensive point and shoot camera!

Missing Pictures...

So a very sad thing happened.. my google account was deleted and in turn I lost everything :( my email, my photography blog my personal blog, and a few other things i had tied into the account. So I'm starting over, I did have my blog exported but sadly the images didn't save because my picasa account was also lost. I will be going through and trying to re-upload some of the posts but sadly there is no way I can redo 3 years worth of blog posts since I normally don't save the posts! Hopefully by the end of the week and can get up the last few weddings I've shot and then I'll go from there. For now, please visit my website or my facebook to view images.
